Hmm......for FREE???

bizzack wrote on Aug 4, '07
Well...it's NOT free...but 'unlimited' downloads for 1-year and $37. Perhaps it's not a bad deal, but I would have to look much more into it...

( As a matter of ethics and principle -- I just tend to have a very difficult time PAYING for downloads folks...lol ;-)

Jim-
It didn't used to be with Tapes, but was one of those Crimes that's simply overlooked for the most part. Downloads directly off the Internet might be a whole different story. We shall see.

IS IT LEGAL............????????????????????????????????????????
...Who cares???????????? (LOL..)

* Alright, I was only (half!) kidding there. My best guess is that it's probably a real 'grey-area'. The laws and parameters haven't really been fully defined for the Internet yet, and it's going to be VERY difficult to actually 'implement' and enforce them if when and if they are for that matter.

It's kind of like that ($5) a month Boxing site/link you posted a few weeks back Snoop. I checked it out, read it completely, and my best guess (by reading some of the very vague 'verbage' on the T&C) is that TECHNICALLY speaking -- that site probably isn't 100% "legal". Also, there were some almost dead giveaways that the site is not American (e.g. the refrencing of funds as "$U.S.D"?) Wouldn't surprise me if it's Russian. ( * Sidenote - Those Russians are sneaky when it comes to the spam & spyware/adware. Man...there into that stuff about as heavy as they are Vodka and cigarettes...)

Anyways, I suppose the bottom line is this: I will likely 'join' one of those two sites (or one similar) very soon, and probably even on my own computer. Well I join on one of my buddy's computers, or my fathers? YES. Absolutely 100% on that...

(LOL!)

Bizzack-
LOL!!! I've never heard of anyone busted for trading Fights, and I've been doing it pretty seriously for over 10 years, but I think technically you'd be violating the Law. As you say,I'd be more concerned about my personal info being hacked than I would the Feds breaking down the door. Just my two cents and UNDER NO CONDITIONS TO BE TAKEN AS IN ANY WAY ADVISING VIOLATION OF EXISTING COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT LAWS ;)

LOL! That's both unbelieveable and a bit hilarious. Dude...that would make a hell of a commercial. Remember those American Express commercials? Something kind of like that, and with you in the commercial! ( * I'm serious! You wouldn't even have to take any acting lessons, as you are both a 'rulebreaker' and a 'natural' as far as that goes. )

"This is The Legend Johnny Bos speaking on behalf of (xyz) pay service. You may or may not know who I am, but trust me: Everyone in the world of Boxing does. Well, awhile back, I try to sell my OWN fights on some web-service, and what do they do? They BAN me! Hey -- I won't mention any names, but some kind of ''Pal' they were! "Paying Pal"? Huh -- more like just PAIN pal! So that's when a friend of mine told me about (xyz) service, and I've been using them ever since -- and with NO problems."

"XYZ Pay Service: They know who the Bos is -- and who the BOSS is!"

(LOL!)
