NOT looking anything up, takes the fun out, harmon killerbrew, tony olivia, kirby puckett, rod carew played with the angels did rod play with the twins? rod, may have been trhe best hitter i ever seen. MRMONZON.
I've got autographed baseballs by Oliva and Killebrew. The 1965 Twins were a great team. It took the Hall Of Fame duo of Sandy Koufax and Don Drysdale to beat them in a seven game World Series. For a five year stretch Koufax was the best pitcher I've ever seen. I mean he was the stuff of which legends are made.

Mr. Monzon- Rod actually was with the Twins longer than he was with the Angels Beleive it or not if you saw him with the Angels than you didn't even see him at his best. I remember the Twins trading him to the Angels for like five guys, one of them a pretty good player named Kenny Landreaux (sp?).....and I still thought it wasn't nearly enough ;) Rod Carew was the ultimate contact hitter, easily the best I ever saw too.
thanks dmurphy, carew batted i believe 388 the same year george foster and his black beauty bat cranked 52 HRs and 149 RBIs i was around 7 to 8 i remember carew getting 238 hits if im off im not looking it up guys.
