BTW - If I'm not mistaken...I believe a very young legend-in-the-making Johnny Bos WAS in fact there for that Tiger fight.

RONDON did not MOVE after that knockout! He did-not-MOVE! It was like he almost literally became "one with the canvas!"

The other thing that struck me when I saw that Rondon fight was that the Ring seemed incredibly Small. Kind of like being in a Phone Booth with a Lion :)

Indeed Dave! And yes -- a tad bit 'unsettling'! (LOL)

Not a bad comparison at all Deacon. In many ways he was similar to the welterweight/middleweight version of Hearns -- SCARY!

:O

You know,I'm think back through the recesses of my mind, which many would call a trip to the floor of the Grand Canyon :) and I don't recall anyone making the comparison between Foster and Hearns.Maybe it's that they were roughly the same height but Bob carried so much more weight, but with them being so tall, lanky and powerful,it sure fits.

It's a helluva comparison. Those two were pretty unique and "freaky" that way. I'm not sure you could really put a third in that 'category', exact for perhaps (oddly enough) Sandy Saddler in a sense?
