I think Taylor will get his revenge on Pavlik this Saturday night at 166 pounds.... However, I am pissed that this rematch is a PPV event.... These guys put on a great show last September, but BOTH guys are still regular cable TV fighters.... Peace.....
Personally, I have no real problem with this one being PPV, although I suppose one could make the argument it perhaps should be an HBO/SHO fight...
BTW - I kind of forget about you folks on The East Coast in that regard Sal...oh well, at least it's not on a Friday night I suppose. (Sleep in a bit on Saturday - and Sunday for that matter - and load up on the espresso my friend...;-)
* Boy...that (aprx.) Midnight start time for the PPV Main Events sort of "ruins it" as far as having Pizza while watching...(I had never really thought about that before...)
I'm married with 3 kids under the age of 8 there is no sleeping in at my house. I'm still undecided over weather I want to get this or not as I will fall asleep and have to wait next week for the replay anyway.
Hmm...yeah, I hear you...I just read somewhere that the main event will be going off no-later than Midnight (East) and the undercard is a decent one...I guess part of it may depend on if you have a few guys over (or at least one) to split the cost? (It probably would with me anyhow...)
F@#K It!! I'm doin the replay on the 23rd..... I'll take the freebie of "Klit vs. Iggy" any day... "Taylor vs. Pavlik" is a bullshit PPV.... I'm not going there...... Cheerio...
"Bullshit PPV"??? With all due respect Bill...what the f*ck are talking about???
*shakes head in confusion*
( Bill throws 99mph strikes right down the middle about 99% of the time, but I think he let loose with a "wild pitch" on this one here...or perhaps a "screwball" or "spitball" that veered outside the strike zone...;-(
Im not buying Taylor's excuse that he wasn't in tiptop shape when he fought Pavlik the 1st time. He almost put Pavlik away when he knocked him down and that fight was so close to being stopped. How can he say he wasn't in tiptop shape when he was almost able to KO Pavlik. If anything, Pavlik has shown he has a big heart and really has a 1 punch stopping power. I'm picking Pavlik in the 2nd fight. Hopefully ill get my money back from the Gorres vs. Darchinyan fight, who would have thought it was gonna be a draw!? hehe
As I said I'm the father of three and I'm not sure I want to pay for a fight I can see a week later on HBO, but I will agree with Bizzy on this one, it was a very exciting fight and had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
I am going to Commerce Casino buy two drinks minimun and see the fights for free in Los Angeles...I am broke or else I would have driven 4 hours to Las Vegas
Folks, I shit you not.... I will not PPV "Taylor-Pavlik 2" tonight..... To me, its still a regular event... This ought to be on HBO for my regular subscription fee... I will catch and tape the replay next week prior to the start of "Klit vs. Iggy" on HBO.... Peace....
In reality we are being asked to pay for a fight that may not live up to the hype and Taylor is going to have to fight his ass off or get knocked out again. Really, what could he have possibly changed in a few months time to make him think it will be different? The first fight was the best Taylor ever looked and he still got his ass handed to him. I agree with Bill. Remember Tyson/Holyfield 2 ? Tyson was on his way to a worse ass whoopin than the first fight so he bailed out. My buddy put down $50 for this guy to quit the first time he got tagged.
hello, taylor will do just fine at 168. as for pavlik, he is a throw back warrior. i just love the way he trains, fights, takes a punch. he will be a middle legend for a long time, yet i see pavs going up in weight sooner or later. thanks mikey.
